  • Autumn Disappointment for Boom 3YO

    Friday, 22nd January 2021

The connections of massively talented Aint’nodeeldun are having to reconcile themselves to the reality the autumn they dreamed of is gone. According to punters.com, the dual stakes-winner has picked up an injury and the Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained 3YO will have to tread metaphorical water at a time when the rising turf star was set to shine at his brightest. The son of Arrowfield Stud stallion Dundeel (High Chaparral) was the subject of startling offers from Hong Kong after going bang-bang in black type races, headlined by his defeat of subsequent Gr2 Wakeful Stakes heroine Victoria Quay, conqueror shortly thereafter of star 3YO filly Personal. With both the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas and Gr1 Australian Derby having been realistic targets for Aint’nodeeldun, it’s a bitter blow that only time will heal – literally and figuratively.
