  • Mizzy Entered for MM National Sale

    Monday, 15th March 2021

One of Australia's most talented racemares, Mizzy (Zoustar-Missy Cummings, by Magnus) will go under the hammer as an outstanding racing and breeding prospect at May's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast. Runner-up in last Saturday’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens, Mizzy is in career best form and shapes as one of the most exciting prospects to go under the hammer in 2021. Prepared by leading Randwick trainer Anthony Cummings, Mizzy is a Group 1 runner-up at her past two starts, with a nose second to Savatiano (Street Cry) at her previous run in the Canterbury Stakes (1300m) at Royal Randwick. The Zoustar mare, a triple group winner, follows in the hoofsteps of her dam (Missy Cummings), second dam (Lady Knockout) and third dam (Prime Again) who were all stakes-winners prior to a stud career. "She will present prospective buyers with an incredible opportunity," prominent breeder and part owner Rob Crabtree said. "Physically she is a stunning animal - as nice a mare as I've ever seen. I bred her, her mother and also raced her grandmother. She gets her speed from the Magnus and Zoustar blood, but also some stamina from Serheed (sire of grandam Lady Knockout)." Crabtree revealed the mare would continue to race until the National Sale and be an outstanding prospect to race for new connections before heading to stud.
