Racing NSW Releases Wet Weather Updates

With NSW race meetings at Queanbeyan and Tamworth proceeding on Monday, racingnsw.com.au has advised the following updates for upcoming race meetings for Tuesday onward:

• Tuesday (23 March) Gosford – POSTPONED: This meeting has been postponed due to wet weather with the course having received in excess of 360mls of rain. Racing NSW explored options of transferring the program to other tracks but all tracks in the region have received similar rainfall and are unsuitable for racing.
• Tuesday (23 March) Coffs Harbour – TRANSFERRED: Due to the current state of the Coffs Harbour track being unsuitable for racing, the meeting has been moved to Grafton Racecourse to be held the following day (Wednesday 24th March). As a consequence, the following race distance amendments apply:
• BM66 HCP (was 1300m) is now 1400m and Maiden Plate (was 800m) is now 1000m
• Warwick Farm Wednesday (24 March): TRANSFERRED TO THE KENSINGTON TRACK (THURSDAY). Following an inspection on Monday morning, the Warwick Farm surface has been deemed unsuitable for racing and the meeting will now be conducted on the Kensington Track on THURSDAY, 25th March 2021. As a consequence, the following amendments apply: BM78 Handicap (was 1600m) - is now 1550m; BM72 Handicap (was 1150m) - is now 1200m. Acceptances will now be taken at 9am on Tuesday morning with the rail out 5m the entire circumference
• Thursday (25 March) Hawkesbury Races – POSTPONED: The Hawkesbury race meeting scheduled for Thursday has been postponed due to the wet weather and the state of the track.
