Annabel Neasham's talented filly Ashema (I Am Invincible-Omniscient, by Exceed and Excel) will appreciate the drop in class when she contests the Bowermans Commercial Furniture Plate (1100m) at Randwick on Thursday. Second on debut in the Restricted Listed Inglis Nursery behind Acrobat (Fastnet Rock) before third behind leading Golden Slipper contender Stay Inside (Extreme Choice) at her second time out, the filly then failed to produce that form behind Profiteer (Capitalist) in the Restricted Inglis Millennium. With a solid barrier trial performance since, if the well-related filly can handle the expected heavy conditions, she should be right in this. A narrow last start third behind Glistening (Zoustar) in the G2 Riesling Stakes, Godolphin-owned Trifaccia (I Am Invincible) is likely to start the race favourite, while the Hawkes Racing-trained Yearning (Snitzel), an impressive barrier trial winner recently, also looks capable of making her presence felt, especially as her trial win was on a Heavy 8 rated surface.
