Meanwhile, a syndicate of Triple Crown owners celebrated mid-way through Day 2 of the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale when their star mare Moss Trip was sold to Kia Ora Stud for $900,000. The Mossman mare, in foal to young Widden Stud Snitzel sire-son Trapeze Artist, won five races during her career headlined by the Group 3 James HB Carr Stakes. She earned almost $600,000 during her racing days. "It's a really good avenue to be involved with," Triple Crown Syndication's Chris Ward said. "We've had Peggy Jean (Myboycharlie) who's come through the Magic Millions Sales for $1 million at the end of her career and we had Secret Trail (Denman) a few years ago (sell) for $700,000… She was a filly we picked up for about $32,000 back in the day and she had a great career winning over half a million in prizemoney and now to come to the Magic Millions sale ring and cap it all off with a huge sale of $900,000 - as you can imagine we've got some pretty excited owners."
