Dundeel Half-Brother on Debut

Riverside Theatre (Redoute's Choice-Stareel, by Zabeel) will make his debut today in the Sunshine Coast Sky Racing Maiden Plate over 1400m. The 3YO half-brother to emerging Group 1 sire Dundeel (High Chaparral) was sold by Arrowfield Stud for $400,000 to Phoenix Thoroughbreds and Aquis Farm at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. Trained by Maryann Brosnan, Riverside Theatre ran a quality third in a trial at the Gold Coast at the end of May 2021. Dundeel retired to stud in 2014 and has already left five individual Group 1 winners: Atyaab, Castelvecchio (standing at Arrowfield Stud), Yourdeel, Super Seth (standing at Waikato Stud) and Truly Great. Dundeel's dam, Stareel (Zabeel-Staring, by Fiesta Star) has left six other winners, and is an unraced daughter of Group 1 winner Staring.
