Some Stronach Assets Could be Sold Off

Closely held North American company the Stronach Group, which is known to have some of the most prestigious racetracks in the US, is now exploring options for parts of its portfolio after taking many interests from special purpose acquisition companies. According to bloomberg.com the Stronach Group is mostly led by the former politician Belinda Stronach, and is based in Toronto, Ontario. The company focuses on thoroughbred racing, and betting businesses while also having technology, entertainment, and real estate developments. They hold a portfolio worth up to $1.5 billion or more and are now considering a sale or licensing of some asset, and are open to considering expressions of interest. Belinda Stronach controls the racing and gaming component of the family business which has racing venues including California’s Santa Anita Park, Golden Gate Fields in California and Gulfstream Park in Florida.
