HKJC Awards All About Golden Sixty

Stunning Hong Kong galloper Golden Sixty (Medaglia d’Oro-Gaudeamus, by Distorted Humour) is a shoo-in for HKJC Horse of The Year after no other runner in the territory received a nomination. The four-time Group 1 winner, considered one of the best milers in the world and on a 14-race winning streak, was also nominated for Champion Middle Distance Horse where his only opposition is Hong Derby winner Sky Darci (Darci Brahma-Strictly Maternal, by O’Reilly). The latter is one of three horses nominated for honours in the competitive 4YO category, the others being Group 1-winning duo Wellington (All Too Hard-Mihiri, by More Than Ready) and Panfield (Looking at Lucky-Esterina, by Orpen). Panfield was also nominated as Champion Stayer along with Exultant (Teofilo-Contrary, by Mark of Esteem). The Sprinter category will be decided between Hot King Prawn (Denman-De Chorus, by Unbridleds Song) and Courier Wonder (Sacred Falls-Fabulist, by Savabeel).
