An exceptional catalogue of 561 lots has opened for bidding in the Inglis Digital June (Late) Online Sale. headlined by 2YO stakes winner Volcanic Rock (Hinchinbrook-Heat of The Fire, by Strategic) and a number of stakes-performed mares in the broodmare category. Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Volcanic Rock is the only stakes-winning 2YO to be offered for public auction in Australia this season. His win in the Phoenix Stakes (1500m) at Eagle Farm two starts ago also qualified him for Hong Kong with a PP rating of 74. A smart physical type who fetched $240,000 at the 2020 Classic Sale at Riverside, the 2YO gelding is a half-brother to Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes winner Furnaces (Exceed and Excel) from the family of Zeditave and Melito. He is offered by Newgate (as agent) with x-rays, vet report and scope available in the Inglis repository. Bidding on the auction is now available, with the final countdown commencing at 12pm midday (AEST), Wednesday June 30.
