The unfortunate postponement of last weekend’s major Sunshine Coast race meeting provides an unexpected boost this weekend to black-type stocks, however we may not be out of the woods quite yet. Rated a Heavy 8 on Thursday evening, with a forecast of scattered showers throughout Friday might leave the track at the extremities of heavy by Sunday for its three features. Meanwhile, on Saturday, there’s stakes race short-course action in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to keep fans entertained in the late part of the afternoon.
