She Will Reign Colt Sells at JRHA Sale

The Heart’s Cry (Sunday Silence-Irish Dance, by Tony Bin) yearling out of Gr1 Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign (Manhattan Rain-Courgette, by Charge Forward) sold in the opening session of yesterday’s JRHA Select Sale for ¥165m (A$2 million), reported jrha.or.jp. The yearling colt is the first foal of 2016-2017 Champion 2YO Filly She Will Reign. She is a half-sister to Gr2 Silver Slipper winner Time To Reign (Time for War) who has retired to stand his debut season in 2021 at Kingstar Farm near Denman in NSW. The session opened strongly with the last ever Deep Impact (Sunday Silence-Wind in her Hair, by Alzao) yearlings to sell, with the colt from American Group 2 winner Go Maggie Go (Ghostzapper-Magibel, by Tale of the Cat) commanding ¥300m (A$3.6m). Among the 248 lots offered in yesterday’s session, Gr1 Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa’s sire Lord Kanaloa (King Kamehameha) was responsible for three of the top six lots, one of them sharing top price of ¥300m (A$3.6m). The sale’s first session average was A$620,241.
