  • Stable Excited by Mo'Unga Return

    Wednesday, 21st July 2021

Last season's exciting Gr1 Rosehill Guineas winner Mo'Unga (Savabeel-Chandelier, by O'Reilly) has returned to the Annabel Neasham stable after a break, with his spring campaign being aimed towards the Gr1 WS Cox Plate at Moonee Valley in October. Neasham pointed out that while the Cox Plate is his aim, if the stallion prospect showed he is best suited up to a mile, then races like the Gr1 Epsom Handicap and the lucrative Golden Eagle would be on the agenda. Finishing just over 2.5-lengths from Addeybb (Pivotal) last time out in the Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the rising 4YO is likely to trial towards the end of July before commencing his campaign in the Gr1 Winx Stakes on August 21. Neasham was effusive in her praise of the colt when he arrived back at her Warwick Farm yard. "He looks bloody great," Neasham told racenet.com.au. "He has really furnished. I know it's an old cliché but he really has gone from a boy to a man. That really does describe the horse that left the stables at the end of the autumn and the one that has returned."
