Regal Roller Kick Off For Away Game

Not seen on race day since her win over Exhilarates (Snitzel) in the Gr3 Healy Stakes during the Brisbane Winter Carnival, the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Away Game (Snitzel-Elusive Wonder, by Elusive Quality) tackles Caulfield's Listed Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) on Saturday. With $3.2 m in earnings from five wins, headlined by the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, the Mill Park-bred and Magic Millions-sold mare has interestingly only had one start at the track, finishing fourth in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes of her juvenile year, before finishing second the following start in the Gr1 Golden Slipper behind the now Kia Ora Stud-based Farnan (Not A Single Doubt). From barrier seven in the 11-horse field, jockey John Allen is likely to push forward, but hopefully he can secure a spot without getting trapped wide. Race favourite is  last start second placed La Mexicana (I Am Invincible-Cailin Miss, by Domesday), while the most intriguing runner in the field is former Champion Singapore galloper The Inferno (Holy Roman Emperor-Spina Rosa, by Redoute's Choice), who will be having his first start in Australia for Cliff Brown who, likewise, has  returned to the country after training in Singapore.
