Forebearance Highlights Elite Aussie Mares

The win by Forebearance (Galileo-Nechita, by Fastnet Rock) in the Listed Galtres Stakes continues to highlight the impressive record of Australian-bred Group 1-winning mares at stud internationally. Forebearance is the second foal of Gr1 VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Nechita (Fastnet Rock-Artistique, by Peintre Celebre). Her first foal is city winner Harpo Marx (Galileo). Meanwhile over in Japan, another horse to keep an eye on is Julia Barows (Deep Impact-Shamrocker, by O’Reilly) who made it two wins from two starts on Saturday at Niigata over 1800m. Julia Barows is Shamrocker’s fifth foal, and her third winner. Shamrocker (O’Reilly-Bohemain Blues, by Blues Traveller) won both the Gr1 Australian Guineas and Gr1 Australian Derby and was crowned Champion 3YO Filly in Australia in 2010-11.
