Pricey I Am Invincible Pair of 2YOs to Debut

2YO colt King of Sparta (I Am Invincible-Octavia, by Holy Roman Emperor) and 2YO filly Bundchen (I Am Invincible-Yattarna, by Exceed and Excel) will make their racetrack debuts today in the ATC TAB Maiden 2YO Plate over 1100m. Sold by Yarraman Park Stud to a China Horse Club/Newgate Bloodstock/Starlight Racing partnership at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $700,000, King of Sparta is the fourth foal of Gr3 WW Cockram Stakes winner Octavia. Bundchen, meanwhile, was purchased by Go Bloodstock for $400,000 from the Sledmere Stud draft at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, and is the first foal of Gr3 James HB Carr Stakes winner Yattarna. Another runner of note is Camplin (Medaglia d'Oro-Portillo, by Red Ransom), a half-sister to Gr2 winner Ghisoni. Only one horse, Fox Fighter (Foxwedge-Stage Beauty, by Desert Prince), in the eleven horse field has faced the starter before. The current favourite with the TAB is Syracuse (Sebring-The Messina Nymph, by Commands) at $2.60 with Hilal (Fastnet Rock-Salma, by Encosta de Lago) at $4.20 and King of Sparta at $7. Bundchen opened at $10.
