Encyclopedia Becomes Divine Prophet's Sixth

With his progeny starting to come into their own at the back end of the season, Aquis' Gr1 Caulfield Guineas winner Divine Prophet (Choisir-Prophet Jewel, by Encosta de Lago) registered his sixth first crop winner when the Todd Smart-trained Encyclopedia (Divine Prophet-Info Miss, by Carnegie) won on Tuesday at Albury. Placed in two of his previous five starts, the 2YO gelding was the lone juvenile in the in the 1500m Maiden Handicap and with jockey Blaike McDougall taking him straight to the lead, nothing was able to run him down, where he scored by a length and a quarter to break his maiden. Bred by Aquis, Encyclopedia is the fifth winner from seven runners for his well related dam Info Miss, a half-sister to Gr1 winner Black Mamba (Black Minnaloushe) and to the dam of Gr1 ATC Derby winner Roman Emperor (Montjeu) and the Gr2-winning, Gr1 placed Rios (Hussonet). With six winners from 24 runners, connections would be pleased with the way Divine Prophet has commenced his stud career but would like to see them really step up a gear at three, just like their sire did. Set to stand this season at $16,500 (inc GST), Divine Prophet will stand his first season at Aquis' Canungra property, having commenced his career in the Hunter Valley.
