  • Hungry Heart's Brother Makes Debut

    Thursday, 24th June 2021

Scratched from making his debut on Monday at Pakenham, the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Duty Dynasty (Snitzel-Harlech, by Pivotal), a 2YO half-brother to the Chris Waller-trained dual Group 1-winning filly Hungry Heart (Frankel) will line up in Thursday's opening race at Moe, the Ladbroke It! 2YO Maiden Plate (1000m). Racing in the silks of breeder Yulong Investments, the colt was originally nominated for the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, but was withdrawn, and hence retained to race by connections. The training partnership of Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young are expecting big things from the colt as he progresses and would not be surprised to see a winning debut from the youngster. "He looks like a jump-and-let-roll horse," co-trainer Young revealed. "He has been impressive in his trackwork, all the riders [including] Daniel Moor and Thomas Stockdale have liked him and think he has plenty of ability. As long as things go to plan, we think he's a horse that can win on debut." Duty Dynasty is the second foal of the imported Pivotal mare Harlech, with her third foal (see below) being a full-sister to Thursday's debut runner. The mare had a year off the following season and is due to foal this year to Redoute's Choice's Gr1 CF Orr Stakes-winning son Alabama Express.
