Princess Series Starts on Saturday Week

Australia’s successful Darley Princess Series for 3YO fillies is set to kick-off in 10 days at Royal Randwick. It continues a long-term partnership between the Australian Turf Club and Darley. If the lure of the prestigious four-leg series wasn’t already enough, the winning breeder of each leg will receive a 2021 or 2022 nomination to Darley stallions Earthlight (Silver Shadow Stakes), Ghaiyyath (Furious Stakes), Microphone (Tea Rose Stakes) and Blue Point (Flight Stakes). As an added incentive, the overall winning filly of the series will earn a nomination to a stallion of choice on the Darley roster in the year she retires from racing. Spread across August, September and October, according to Sky Racing, the Darley Princess Series at Royal Randwick comprises the:

• 21 August: Gr2 $200,000 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m)
• 4 September: Gr2 $200,000 Darley Furious Stakes (1200m)
• 18 September: Gr2 $200,000 Darley Tea Rose Stakes (1400m)
• 2 October: Gr1 $750,000 Darley Flight Stakes (1600m)
