  • Quezette Stakes Start for Gimme Par

    Friday, 13th August 2021

Peter Moody's impeccably bred filly Gimmie Par (Not A Single Doubt-Naturale, by Bel Esprit) will kick off her Spring campaign in the Listed Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday. Second on debut in the Listed Talindert Stakes when beaten a half-length by Ingratiating (Frosted), who would become a multiple Group 1 performer during his 2YO season, Gimmie Par won at her second time of asking, winning over 1100m at Caulfield, the distance and track of Saturday's contest. Bred and raced by Rick Jamieson's Gilgai Farm, Gimmie Par is a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Ole Kirk (Written Tycoon), who is set to cover his first book of games this season at Vinery Stud at a fee of $55,000. Both out of the Bel Esprit mare Naturale, an unraced sister to the unbeaten Black Caviar (Bel Esprit) and a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner and Group 1- producing sire All Too Hard (Casino Prince), the addition of any black-type success to Gimmie Par's pedigree will add further gloss to an already illustrious family.
