  • $460,000 for Absolute Flirt on Inglis Digital

    Thursday, 26th August 2021

Meanwhile, the Danny O'Brien-trained mare Absolute Flirt (Stratum-Bisutti, by Northern Meteor) was the second top lot of the Inglis August (Late) Online Sale. Dan Fletcher, principal of Queensland's Telemon Thoroughbreds, went to $460,000 to secure the Stakes-winning 2YO, who was offered in the broodmare category. Talented race filly Lucicello (I Am Invincible-Lucciola, by Verglas) was purchased by Allam Racing in conjunction with Kestrel Thoroughbreds for $370,000. The mare was offered as a broodmare by her owners, which included Olly Koolman and Debbie Kepitis. Koolman is still on a high after Funstar's record-breaking $2.7 million sale on Inglis Digital last month and said Lucicello was another great result for all involved. "We thought she fell through the cracks at Inglis Easter when we bought her but I tell you what, there doesn't seem to be too many cracks in the Inglis Digital mare market at the moment," Koolman said. The sale continued a sustained run of significant results on Inglis Digital, particularly for race fillies and broodmares. They include Funstar ($2,700,000), Members Joy ($800,000), Maximak ($420,000), Moonlight Maid (private sale), Street Icon ($355,000), Malahide ($320,000), Love You Lucy ($365,000), Sulwaan ($300,000), Delectation Girl ($245,000) and Egyptian Missile ($230,000). The August (Late) Sale grossed $5.2 million and posted a clearance of 80%, while seven lots sold for in excess of $100,000, bringing the 2021 tally to 62. To view all the results, CLICK HERE.
