  • Boss Heads North for Melbourne Quarantine

    Thursday, 26th August 2021

With the COVID-19 world we now live in affecting all aspects of everyday life, Group 1-winning jockey Glen Boss has been forced to head to the Northern Territory to spend his quarantine period in order to be able to travel to Melbourne for the upcoming Spring carnival where he has scored the plum ride on leading Cups favourite Incentivise (Shamus Award-Miss Argyle, by Iglesia). He is set to spend his time at the Howard Springs quarantine facility due to the Victorian Government hard line in granting anyone from Sydney an exemption to enter Victoria due to the soaring number of daily Covid cases. Boss left for Darwin on Wednesday which ensures, if all goes to plan, he will arrive in Melbourne ahead of Incentivise's first up run on September 11 in the Gr1 Makybe Diva Stakes, a race named after the Champion mare that Boss rode to success in three consecutive Gr1 Melbourne Cups.
