  • Kingstar Focus on Speed Rewarding Breeders

    Friday, 17th September 2021

The Hunter Valley’s Kingstar Farm is quickly building a reputation as a source of genuine speed stallions. Speed generally begets speed, and it’s obvious the quartet of sprinters standing at Matthew Sandblom’s property all had that in abundance. Having already secured emerging sires Lord of the Sky (Danerich) and Bull Point (Fastnet Rock) for stud duties, last year Kingstar launched the career of exceptional physical, dual stakes-winning 2YO Unite and Conquer (Hinchinbrook) whose first foals are – like their precocious sire – the talk of the town. His 2020 debut has been underpinned in 2021 by the arrival of gifted juvenile sprinter Time To Reign (Time for War). The dashing Gr2 Silver Slipper Stakes winner has a pedigree to match his motor, being a half-brother to Gr1 Golden Slipper heroine She Will Reign. Boasting defeats of Bivouac, Yes Yes Yes, Dubious, Cosmic Force and Tassort, his first season fee of under $10,000 is proving a substantial drawcard for breeders.
