It’s been the busiest year bloodstock agent Suman Hedge can remember at the sales – both physical and online – and comes just three weeks after he purchased Fasika (So You Think) from the Inglis August (Late) Online Sale also on behalf of a client. Like Fasika, Every Rose (Choisir) is set for a date with Champion Sire Written Tycoon. “When we were analysing her and looking at her pedigree and physique, Every Rose suited him down to the ground,” Hedge said. “She would also suit a stallion like Zoustar perhaps down the track, as he as reacted quite well to Danehill line mares. Every Rose really ticked all the boxes for what we look for, she won the Gimcrack on debut over 1000m which is obviously one of the earliest 2YO races and even beyond her actual race record, it’s the horses around her. She was just beaten by Gr1-winning 2YO colts Farnan, King’s Legacy at her second and third start, and then she defeated the likes of Away Game and Hungry Heart, so there is a lot of depth to her performance wise.” Hedge revealed, “My understanding is that there were high profile people and farms that were on her, which always gives me confidence that we are around the right mark.”
